Implant Pathway is a continued education continuum that focuses entirely on the surgical placement of dental implants. Implant Pathway was founded and is currently directed by the most credentialed Implantologists in the country, Dr. Justin D. Moody.
Our continuum is divided into four sessions and can be designed to fit your schedule. Here are our Implant Pathway courses at a glance:
Session 1: Online
Sessions 2/3: Hands-On & Lecture
Session 4: Live Surgery
Fast Track and Sessions 1-4 are the exact same content, but brought to you in two different pathways so you can pick what works best for your learning style and/or schedule.
Session 1 consists of online modules that you need to complete before attending a Fast Track course or Session 2/3. Session 2/3 is combined into three days (Thursday – Saturday) and is the didactic and hands-on portion of our course. These take place in 6 different cities across the United States. You will end your pathway by taking Session 4 which is always located in Tempe, AZ as it’s held at a non-profit dental clinic (New Horizon Institute) where you will perform live surgery on deserving patients.
Fast-Track covers Sessions 2/3 in the first three days (Monday – Wednesday) and Session 4 happens on Thursday and Friday of the same week. This is a more accelerated pathway as all the content is happening in one week as opposed to separating the sessions. Fast Tracks always take place in Tempe, AZ at Pathway Headquarters.
There is no certification you need to place implants in the United States besides your US Dental License. When you complete our Session 4 you will receive a framed certificate to hang on your wall letting patients know you have completed continuing education in the world of implant dentistry.
The International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) is devoted to dental implant education and is a member only program. To become part of the ICOI, you would need to submit cases and get approved by the ICOI. However, once you complete Sessions 1-4 of Implant Pathway you will become an instant Fellow in the ICOI once you submit your paperwork and membership fee. We host an after party for all our alumni during the ICOI to celebrate your fellowship!
A valuable part of Implant Pathway is the opportunity to network with our mentors and build relationships with them that live on past the course. Our mentors teach because they love helping fellow dentists and genuinely want to see you succeed. While it’s not required, our mentors are always helping past alumni via cell phone, email, and text. We encourage you to ask for their contact information and stay in touch after the course!
YES! We highly encourage you to bring your dental assistants to the live surgery portion of the course. We ask that you don’t bring them to the lecture portion as it becomes difficult to accommodate a larger class size with the space we have. Dr. Moody believes that it’s much easier to launch implant dentistry in your practice if your DA shared the experience with you instead of you having to fill them in afterwards.
We use BioHorizons for our implant system. BioHorizons offers an exclusive starter implant package for our attendees that you will gain access to.
You can sign up for Sessions 1-3 and then choose to sign up for Session 4 later and there is no price difference. However, if you choose to wait, the Session 4 does fill up fast as we only have 16 spots available, so we cannot guarantee a spot will be open when you decide to sign up for Session 4.
Yes, you will need to obtain a temporary AZ license from the AZ Dental Board. It's an easy process and the paperwork is simple to complete. We help along the way if you have any questions at all!
We offer payment plans for bundles including Sessions 1-3, Sessions 1-4 and Session 4. Payments can be split into three or four equal payments, depending on your session bundle. We have also partnered with Proceed Finance, who provides financing options for our continuum. We do not currently offer payment plans for Session 1 only. For more information on payment options, please contact our Chief Operating Officer, Austin Schmitt at (888) 309-2423 or email@example.com.
To qualify for the new graduate discount, dentists must be 1-3 years out of dental school. This offer is subject to availability and approval.
New Graduate Pricing:
In order to register, you must contact our Chief Operating Officer, Austin Schmitt at (888) 309-2423 or firstname.lastname@example.org. He will send you a special discount code once he verifies that you qualify for the new graduate discount.
Please note: If you sign up for Sessions 1-3 and then later want to sign up for Session 4, it is no extra cost to you. However, you are not eligible for Session 4 unless you have completed Sessions 1-3.
First and foremost, dental continuing education courses are required by state licensing agencies. To stay in good standing with the licensing board, you need a certain number of CE credits each year. As an ADA and CERP-approved CE provider, courses from The Pathway are applicable to your state’s CE requirements.
But more than that, dental CE courses are a way to continue learning more about dentistry, and apply the things you learn to your own patients. Offering superior dental care in your community is the best way to grow as a dentist and keep your patients satisfied.
That’s where The Pathway comes in. We offer hands-on training on topics like implant dentistry and CEREC. Expanding your practice to offer dental implants or same-day dentistry can help you stay ahead of the competition, provide better service to patients, and stay on the cutting edge of dental medicine.
In our Fast Track course, for example, you have the opportunity to learn in the classroom. Then, you and your surgical assistant can put your knowledge and skills to work with hands-on training on real patients. By putting theory into practice, you can learn more quickly and feel more confident when you begin offering dental implants at your own practice.
Don’t wait. We serve dental professionals across the entire United States with superior continuing dental education services. Sign up for a course today, or feel free to give us a call at (888) 309-2423 if you have any other questions.
With over 20 courses, 15+ seasoned mentors, and new Pathways being added to our curriculum, you can explore new ways to enhance your offerings and gain the confidence to treat patients with the high quality care they deserve.View our course catalog
