Provider Directory

At The Pathway we support and participate in healing modalities that have not been "main-stream" in our society. Where most people in American society visit the doctor for 10 minutes when they feel ill, and buy prescriptions for pills to try to make them feel better, we support alternate methods.

Following are links to alternative health providers in The New England region. If you would like to have your information included, even if you are in another region, please send a mail to the address at the bottom of this page.

Please note that the information below is for your convenience and reference only. The Pathway TSF does not endorse any particular practitioner listed. Please read the Directory Instructions below.

Directory Instructions

This is a directory listing of Practitioners of Complementary Therapies in the New England Region. No one practitioner is recommended over another. Modalities are listed here in alphabetical order with a brief description. Practitioners and their contact information are listed alphabetically under each modality that they practice.

In finding a Practitioner that is right for you, start by asking yourself what you are looking for or what you need. This will help clarify which modalities would be of the most benefit to you. Things to consider when looking for a Practitioner are: qualifications, experience, personal integrity, open-mindedness, flexibility, and personal beliefs. Most of all it must be someone you feel comfortable with and trust.

Interview several Practitioners to find the one with whom you are comfortable and whose purpose and goals most closely match your own. If possible, meet face to face with that Practitioner and ask questions. If they talk to you in terms that you do not understand completely, or they avoid your questions, ask them to clarify so the answers are clear to you.

Since each of practitioner sets his or her own fees, be sure to discuss cost of the services in which you are interested. Keep in mind charges are usually by the session. Typically, session times vary by the modality from 30 minutes up to 2 hours.

Ask friends, acquaintances and other Practitioners for their recommendations. Always trust your instincts. Occasionally it is difficult to connect or establish a rapport even with a qualified practitioner. If you are uncomfortable with a practitioner, in order to gain the most from your experience, find another qualified practitioner with which to work.

Spiritual Counselor

Spiritual Counselors assist people who are unsure of their spiritual path or need guidance in developing their spiritual growth. The process involves guidance within the belief structure of the person being counseled, and does not contain "preaching" or religious training. Often the pressures of relationships, financial stresses, illness, and other day-to-day issues cloud our thinking and disrupt or delay the spiritual development progress. Be sure to select a Spiritual Counselor that you are comfortable with, one that shares the same beliefs as you, and that you are willing to be open and frank with.
